The legend begins on Partrick Road.
For generations, Napa Valley residents have traded stories about bat-winged, primate-like creatures in the western hills. The Rebob Files begins with that local legend, then opens into haunted roads, forgotten resorts, mysterious landscapes, strange lights, California cryptids, and places the wild has reclaimed.
These stories do not treat every Rebob as the same. Some protect the land. Some frighten intruders. Some distrust humans for good reason. Some are curious, kind, mischievous, or morally complicated.

The characters and story world are inspired by original writings by J. C. Perkins. The project preserves the voice, warmth, mystery, humor, and cross-generational appeal of those stories rather than replacing them with generic rewritten lore.
